One Life One Heart (OLOH) International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting the mental health needs of sexual abuse survivors: it supports the healing and empowerment of survivors of sexual abuse, men and women ages 5 and older. The overarching mission of One Life One Heart International is to address and educate about sexual abuse, provide accessible programs and services, and empower survivors on their path to healing. OLOH approaches this work with humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of responsibility toward those it serves. Our mission is rooted in a deep commitment to the well-being of sexual abuse survivors, guided by the principles of empathy and community-based healing.
OLOH offers free, accessible support programs in public venues, primarily churches, serving individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. The OLOH Program is a community-based, volunteer-led initiative to support survivors of sexual abuse. The program offers participants opportunities to engage in gentle, one-on-one or small-group conversations with trained volunteers. Empathic listening is the primary practice through which OLOH’s guiding principles (safety, choice, dignity, and compassion) are expressed in every interaction. These interactions are intended to support healing and empowerment at a pace determined by each participant. The program is intentionally non-clinical and seeks to reduce barriers related to language, culture, access, and cost. By expanding access to mental health resources within local communities, OLOH supports survivors in identifying their needs, building resilience, and taking meaningful steps toward lasting recovery.
In addition to direct services, OLOH International actively works to raise awareness about sexual abuse and its impact. The organization delivers education through free lectures, booklets, campaigns, and programs held in public venues such as churches, schools, and libraries. It also leverages social media and its website to share facts, statistics, and resources, aiming to increase public knowledge and promote prevention efforts on both local and global scales.
OLOH International operates through public contributions, government funding, and financial support from foundations, individuals, and corporations.
